SCAM ALERT
We work so hard at Morton’s to provide a great customer experience. The last thing we want to see is someone giving our industry a bad name.
So be alert. Some times if a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true.
We have seen a rise in customers calling in for last minute help after they have been scammed and they have a party in just minutes. We always try to help and successfully do with many, but with a full schedule sometimes we may not have the reaction time they need. Recently we learned of a lady that had put down a $200 deposit on an inflatable off market place and the company did not show up or answer her calls. We hear this a lot.
Our suggestion is never book equipment solely off a market place post. A reputable company will have a legitimate up to date website with recent reviews of the services they provide.
We have seen many scammers that are posting pictures of units, collecting deposits and ghosting customers after the deposit is paid.
To purchase quality products, clean maintain and insure those units is costly. To maintain insure and a reputable staff is also a task. Companies offering $100 party packages are cutting cost somewhere and in our opinion it’s not worth the chance of losing your money or the safety of your guest.
So buyer beware. We are always here to help with your events and questions.
