Short story for you about important changes at Morton Amusement Inflatables LLC from Edward James Morton Sr.
First I’d like to thank everyone that’s let me be a part of their special occasions over the last 20 plus years. It has meant the world to me and my family.
We look forward to a bright successful future at Morton Amusement Inflatables with the next generation of Morton’s at the helm.
I’m retiring. It will be slowly over this Summer but most definitely. My two oldest sons will be here to serve you for now and I have two upcoming Mortons that may join in at some point. EJ and Jace have both worked at the warehouse since they were about 5 years old. Their job then was sweeping and rolling drop cords and they have grown to be a pivotal part of its success.
Becoming a single father of four wonderful children, years ago I decided to focus most of my business efforts on my party rental business. We were much much smaller back then.
I let go of other projects to pursue this business mostly because it was family friendly. My kids could go to work with me and usually enjoyed it.
I always said the best part about my job is in the 20 plus years I got to work with my brother, sister, my children, nephews and many of my friends and their kids as they entered the job market.
This company supported my family. It supported many other families. It supported part time workers in high school and young people working on their college educations. Its been a rock for many and a stepping stone to those chasing their own dreams. That makes me happy. I am thankful to those who have helped me build it.
To quote Ralph Waldo Emerson "To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.”
Over the years, we have been able to support so many charities and community events and will continue to do so.
For me now, I plan to focus on my health, chase my dogs and watch my boys flourish. Maybe they will let me answer the phones occasionally.
As you can see on our website ( mortonamusement.com ) we have built a huge selection. I promise we have plans to grow into many other fun things in the future.
Be patient with my sons. I got to start off on a slow moving train learning as I went. They are taking over a rocket ship. I can assure you they are considerate, and as concerned as I was that your events are successful . They will be the new conscience of this business, and I know they will be great at it. I hope you will support their efforts as they move forward being the people you call when you are having an event.
It went by too fast, but I wouldn’t change a second of it because it brought us here together.
From my heart, thank you.
